The Mechanical Technology vocation is designed to provide entry level skills in various fields of mechanics. The course teaches shop safety, tool identification, precision measurement, and small engine repair. Shop experience, in combination with student-selected training areas of brake repair, engine performance, electrical systems, emission controls, major and minor engine repair, and tire repair and balance broaden students' skills. 

The goals of Mechanical Technology are to provide students with effective work habits, the knowledge and ability to make career decisions, basic vocational skills, and a positive work attitude.
